For
over 35 years, Mr. Flynn has been both professionally
and personally involved in the Shooting Sports.
In 1978, his lifelong interest in firearms
& shooting led him into a position with
Leslie Edelman’s “Shooting Sports Superstore”
in New York.
Since
coming to Colorado in 1980, he has created
newspaper, direct mail and radio & television
advertising for Dave Cook’s Sporting Goods, Old
West Arms, and Gunsmoke Custom Gunsmithing &
Firearms, as well as numerous other clients.
As
one of the top sales representatives for Berns Wholesale
Sporting Goods, he handled over 600 gun stores
nationwide. Eventually, he became the
principal instructor for the company’s 4 week
/160 hour firearm product training program for
new sales people.
He’s
an avid competitive shooter who also enjoys hunting,
collecting, and writing on firearms & related
topics. He has published and/or produced several
books & videos on Firearms, Shooter Training,
Concealed Carry and African Safari.
His
book & video “Guns for Women”, (released
in 1988), has not only reached thousands of
people, but has also changed the minds and positions
of many folks who were not particularly supportive
of firearm ownership.
In addition,
it was the direct inspiration for the President
of Smith & Wesson’s reintroduction of the “Lady
Smith” line of handguns. The book &
video were a natural outgrowth of his excellent
reputation for helping new shooters buy their first
firearm and begin to enjoy the shooting sports.
